Softball+extends+win+streak+to+four

The Gannon University softball team extended its win streak to four after sweeping Point Park University in a doubleheader Thursday.
The Knights won the first game, 3-1, and swept the second game, 7-0.
Currently Gannon is 12-5 overall but is still waiting for its first home game, which is scheduled for Saturday — a 1 p.m. doubleheader against Seton Hill.
The Knights kicked off the win streak on March 11 with a victory over Davis and Elkins and will look to extend their streak to six on Friday when they take on host Mercyhurst in a doubleheader starting at 1 p.m at Tullio Field.
In game one against Point Park, senior Olivia Gumbita picked up her seventh win.
Gumbita went the full seven innings only giving up six hits. She struck out seven batters and walked only three of them in 21 outs.
Freshman Sarah Ingerick doubled home one run and scored another.
In game two, freshman outfielder Maria Taliani went 2-for-3 with two runs scored and two RBIs.
Sophomore Autumn Smith added two hits, including a two-run double.
