“A Medieval Christmas Banquet” is a mix of seasonal music and medieval comedy that promises to put all who attend in a holiday spirit.
The show which will run Nov. 29 through Dec. 2 in the Yehl Ballroom, located in the Waldron Campus Center, revolves around a family, their butler and two other guests.
“A Medieval Christmas Banquet” was conceived and will be directed by the Rev. Shawn Clerkin, Director of Gannon’s Liberal Studies, and the Co-Director and Associate Professor of the School of Communication and the Arts.
This is Gannon University’s first foray into dinner theater in decades.
The production centers around a medieval feast in a Great Hall.
“It includes some classic Christmas music and medieval times food,” said Rebecca Ropelewski, a sophomore advertising communication and theatre & communication arts major.
“We’re a small cast of eight and we sort of put on a show within the show. It’s super fun.”
The dinner will consist of three courses.
The production will be showing Nov. 29 through Dec. 2.
Showings will be at 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 29-Dec. 1 and at 1:30 p.m. on Dec. 1-2.
Price of admission is $35 per person, and $60 per couple.
