Near the entrance of the Cathedral of St. Paul sits a statue of a figure of a man dressed in a cloak with a cup and a plate filled with a mix of water and fallen leaves from the rainy fall days. The nail holes in his hands allow us to assume that the man is Jesus. Known as “Homeless Jesus” is a representation of faith but also social concerns such as homelessness that plague the Erie population.
