Why are you running for Treasurer? I currently sit on the Budget and Finance committee, so I know how the position of treasurer works, Also, I am looking to further my involvement in SGA.
What are your goals if you were to be elected Treasurer? Currently, tiers are set up to organize the levels of funding, so I’d like to collaborate with the previous treasurer and improve upon those as well as the structure of the club funding meetings.
Why did you decide to get involved with SGA? I was involved with student government in high school so I wanted to continue to improve upon my leadership skills at the collegiate level.
What have you accomplished during your time on SGA? As freshman class chair, I led the freshman class through the white board project, donating 10 white boards to the library. The freshman class also donated a Thanksgiving basket for the Hunger and Homelessness week basket drive.
What have you accomplished during your time on campus? I have maintained a 4.0 GPA while staying involved in SGA as well as pledging Alpha Gamma Delta and Phi Eta Sigma.
What qualities do you have that make you good for this position? I am reliable and dependable; I never miss meetings. I’m also organized and well- prepared going into the club funding meetings. I’m fair and don’t allow personal biases to get in the way of which clubs get funding.
How do you feel you personally influence SGA? I feel that I have been an active member on SGA during my freshman year so through my involvement I have influenced SGA.
