Journalism contest is now accepting submissions

The journalism communications program is holding its annual campus-wide contest.

Submissions will fall within six categories: news, features, op-ed, reviews, sports and photo.

Entries are due by noon Friday and can be submitted at Room 3229 and Room 3227 of the Palumbo Academic Center.

Students may submit two entries per category. Each submission must have a publication record in either a campus or professional medium between Feb. 24, 2012, and Friday.

Students must tape each entry to 8.5-by-11 white paper.

Team from Commission on Higher Education visits campus this week

The visiting team from the Middle States Commission on Higher Education will be on campus through Friday.

The team will be holding an open-student forum from 5-6 p.m. Wednesday and an open-faculty forum from 4-5 p.m. Thursday.

The Gannon community is also invited to hear the visiting team’s oral report on Friday, in Room 219 of the Waldron Campus Center.

Senior Salute to take place after break

Seniors will get to pick up their cap and gawn during Senior Salute.

The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, on the third floor of the Palumbo Academic Center.
