Knight Editorial board applications available 

Applications are available for students interested in serving on the Editorial Board of The Gannon Knight for the 2022-2023 school year. The form can be obtained by emailing Maddy Bruce, current editor-in-chief, at [email protected] or Knight adviser Frank Garland at [email protected] are due at 5 p.m. Friday and can be submitted to Garland by email at [email protected]. Positions for editors and assistant editors are available for the news, sports, features and arts and leisure sections. The Knight is also looking for copy editors, a photo coordinator, a Roundtable editor, a social media director and a business and advertising manager. Scholarship funding is awarded for select positions, and the business and advertising manager positions are paid based on ad sales commissions. Mental health panel for athletes set for April 26 

A panel discussion that focuses on athletes and their mental health will take place at 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 26, in the Zurn Science Center. The event is being sponsored by Active Minds. Both coaches and athletes from teams at Gannon will be speaking and answering questions about the mental health relating back to sports. RSVP on engageu.gannon.edu. 

 

Deaf panelist event set for April 22 in Zurn 

Five members of the Deaf community will talk about their experiences as deaf people in a hearing world through an event set for 5 p.m. Friday, April 22, in Room 104 of the Zurn Science Center. Gannon’s American Sign Language Club will host the event, which will feature speakers Margarita Belousov, Tracy Berbs, Susan McLeod, Shirley Ferrante and Jerry Penna.
