Do you smell what is cooking?
That’s right folks — WWE is going to be premiering on Fox Friday and more importantly the most electrifying man in sports entertainment will be returning to the ring.
Oh yeah, you know him — 2016 Sexiest Man of the Year Winner, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
Honestly folks, I am pumped. The Rock is a polarizing figure. He is one of the biggest actors in the world and he is one of the greatest wrestlers of all time.
The Rock is now known as a dominant fan favorite wrestler. Yet, people forget his original alter ego, Rocky Maivia.
Now, Rocky was hated in the wrestling community. All the fans hated him. The fans hated the good guy persona and the smiling boyish charm.
Rocky lacked style and The Rock’s electrifying presence.
However this all changed when Dwayne grew sick of the fans booing him. Thus, he created The Rock persona.
The Rock exploded onto the ring with bad boy charisma — the leather jacket and dark sunglasses included.
He created a signature catch phrase and performed jaw-dropping explosive moves.
He emerged as one of the wrestling community’s favorite wrestlers. He has 17 championship reigns in WWE, including 10 as a world heavyweight champion — the WWF/E Championship eight times and the WCW/World Championship twice.
He also has won the WWF Intercontinental Championship twice and the WWF Tag Team Championship five times.
And now he is back to help launch WWE onto mainstream television.
I personally can’t wait until Friday to tune in and see What The Rock will be Cooking.
