Journalism contest set
Entries for the journalism portion of Gannon University’s annual Writing Awards are now being accepted.
The contest is open to all Gannon students and submissions will fall within six categories: news, features, op-ed, reviews, sports and photo.
Entries are due by noon Tuesday, Feb. 12, in Frank Garland’s office in Room 319 of the Center for Communication and the Arts.
Students may enter two articles per category.
Entries must have been published in a campus or professional medium between Feb. 19, 2018, and Feb. 11 of this year.

Vouchers available for Erie Philharmonic
To all CHESS students, free ticket vouchers are available for the Erie Philharmonic 2018-19 Season Symphonic concerts.
The next symphonic concert will be Saturday.
Others are set for March 9 and April 13.
Stop by the CHESS Dean’s office, Room 2024 in the Palumbo Academic Center, to pick up your voucher.
They are available on a first- come, first-served basis.
Each voucher is valid for two tickets. Vouchers must be redeemed at the Erie Philharmonic box office prior to the performance.

SGA to host town hall meeting Feb. 11
The Student Government Association is hosting the first Town Hall meeting of the semester from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 11.
The location has not been announced yet.
The student body is invited to come share any ideas or concerns they may have.

Fringe Fest Erie 2019
Fringe Fest Erie begins at 8 p.m. on Feb. 8-9 with an open mic comedy night at the Knight Club.
Students, staff and faculty are welcome to share their own jokes and comical stories.
