Student reports weekend robbery

Gannon University’s Police and Safety reported several robberies in the area of West Seventh and West Eighth streets during the weekend.
Among these is a robbery of an international student at Gannon, according to Ted Marnen, director of Gannon University’s Police and Safety.
Two males approached the student during the weekend at West Seventh and Chestnut streets, hit him in the face and took his backpack, which contained a few hundred dollars, Marnen said. The student was not injured.
An email sent to the Gannon community Saturday morning notified students, faculty and staff of the robberies and detailed necessary precautions and measures students should take to remain safe on campus.
