Crop pants and comfy cardis are go-to pieces

Most women resort to yoga pants and hoodies when they don’t know what to wear or simply don’t have the time to figure out an outfit.

These helpful hints will save you time and stress and will leave you looking good – or they will at the very least be better looking than the yoga pants and hoodie.

Here are a few basic items to fuel your closet. The first item should be a dress.

If you’re the kind of woman who has larger bottom portions than top portions, it’s good to know that  dresses really tend to accentuate that.

Please don’t wear a clubbing dress to class, but a billowy, A-line dress hugs the small of your waist and forgives any extra curviness even on your most voluptuous of days. If you have the body type problem of looking too flat or masculine, a dress is the classic symbol of femininity.

Another great thing to have in your closet for the days when nothing looks good is a pair of relaxed-fit cropped pants.

I have a pair of green khaki crops from the Gap, and I love to wear them because every time I do someone asks me if I’ve lost weight.

That little bit of ankle showing is just provocative enough and very spring appropriate.

That with just a plain fitted T-shirt and maybe a pair of Toms will do the job.

Every woman has to have a comfy cardi. It’s that cardigan that is just long enough to cover the pockets of your jeans and feels warm and safe like a security blanket.

Put skinny jeans underneath and a patterned shirt and you’re set.

My comfy cardi is a grey crocheted Vera Wang sweater. However, my roommate Long Legs McGee rocks a black and grey Aztec pattern cardigan with black jeans and a black T. Black is kind of her thing.

Brace yourselves, because I’m about to share my favorite outfit formula with you, and it’s really simple. Best of all, it takes less than a minute to pick out in the morning. I’m not saying that I’m the epitome of fashion, but it’s worth a try.

Here it is: plain shirt, plus high boots, plus awesome knee-length skirt. You don’t need many accessories and you end up looking really classy with virtually no effort.

Here’s a great excuse to go shopping. You need to have these go-to pieces to save you time and stress.

OK, maybe “need” isn’t the right word, but I promise that having these things in your closet will benefit your wardrobe.
