Gannon welcomes new freshman class to campus

Gannon University welcomed the newest freshman class who began moving onto campus Aug. 22.
Gannon University Orientation Counselors, faculty and upperclassmen helped freshmen move into their dorms. By tradition, they carried new students’ belongings into the residence halls for parents and freshman.
After assisting students with moving in, Gannon President Keith Taylor, Ph.D., welcomed incoming students at the university’s Convocation ceremony, which was held Aug. 22 at the Hammermill Center.
Gannon welcomed more than 680 new undergraduate students for the fall semester, bringing the university’s total enrollment to in excess of 4,450 students.
Gannon students come from throughout the United States, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands, and from 26 countries worldwide, including Canada, Ghana and China.
