THE GANNON KNIGHT

‘And the World Goes ‘Round’ for Gannon grads

Allison Kessler

Major:

Theatre and Communication Arts

Story continues below advertisement

Role in “And the World Goes ‘Round:”

soloist

How you first got involved at the Schuster Theatre:

I came to Gannon as a theatre and communication arts major. I walked in day one and just didn’t leave.

Favorite role you played:

Martha (“The Children’s Hour”)

Favorite line you read:

“Don’t tush me!” (“A Lie of the Mind”) My lines in that show never made any sense and that was frustrating.

What you’ll miss most about the Schuster:

I will miss the atmosphere. I grew attached to the black box theater. I will miss the warmth of the space.

Future plans:

I am moving to Philly to “hit the pavement,” aka audition till I find a job!

Brittnie Knight

Major:

Theatre and Communication Arts

Role in “And the World Goes ‘Round:”

soloist

How you first got involved at the Schuster Theatre:

I changed my major to theater comm, and my big Jess Charlton, Jasse Camacho and Kathleen Cahill told me I was joining APO and I haven’t left since.

Favorite role you played:

Mrs. Tilford (“The Children’s Hour”)

Favorite line you read:

It’s not a line, but my favorite song is “Maybe This Time” because if you would have asked me a year ago I would have never thought I could sing it.

What you’ll miss most about the Schuster:

The Schuster is my family. Every single professor and fellow actor is a part of my everyday life. It’ll be weird not laughing, crying, arguing and hugging them every day. Especially going into Paula and Shawn’s offices for advice and just to catch up. They’re like my second parents.

Future plans:

Allison and I are actually moving to Philadelphia together. I’ll be attending Drexel University for graduate school, studying for a MS in arts administration, and hopefully after this I hope to be back in Europe permanently working for the Edinburgh Fringe Company.
