Vice President of Academic Affairs: Connor Kilgore

What other organizations are you involved in at Gannon?

I am involved with G.U.S.P.A.S.; Phi Eta Sigma; ski club; and I’m the historian for Pi Kappa Alpha.

Do you have any past experience and/or positions within SGA?

Last year I was the freshman student representative and this year I’m the sophomore student representative.

Why are you running for the position of VP of Academic Affairs?

I want to go beyond what I am right now. I’m fine being the student representative, but I feel like I could bring more to the table. My friend Luke is the VP of Academic Affairs and I think he’s doing a great job, but I feel like I have a lot to offer to the position.

What are your goals if you were to be elected to the position of VP of Academic Affairs?

As the VP of Academic Affairs, it’s my job to work with the administration and to make sure the students voices are being heard at the administration level and being factored into decisions. I also want to increase the student involvement at the administration level.

Why did you decide to get involved with SGA?

In high school I was always invovled with student government and national honors society and I think it’s a great way to get involved on campus. There’s so many opportunities from being on SGA and I want to get the most out of my college experience.

What have you accomplished during your time on SGA?

The sophomores in SGA threw a SuperBowl party at the Knight Club. We’re also trying to get washers and dryers in the basement of the Knight Club, but I don’t know how that’s coming.

Is there anything else you’d like the student body to know about you?

I’m looking forward to the position if I’m elected and I have a lot to offer.
