Vice President of Public Relations: Kelsie Bunce

Why are you running for Vice President of Public Relations?

I chose to run for this specific executive board position because it best applies to who I am and what I’m passionate about. As a business administration major, a lot of what I learn in classes can be applied to this position.

What are your goals if you were to be elected Vice President of Public Relations?

If elected VP of Public Relations, my biggest goal is to get a strong path of communication between the student body and SGA. The students have a voice and I want to make sure it is heard. I also want to cater to the ever-changing social network so students can get information about what SGA is up to in a means that is convenient and familiar to them. Ask anyone in SGA – we do a lot and keep very busy, but unfortunately the student body doesn’t always hear about it. I want to change that.

Why did you decide to get involved with SGA?

For the past three years I’ve spent my summers  working as a camp counselor and have learned to be flexible, creative, communicative and most of all a good leader. I wanted to put these skills to use at Gannon, specifically with SGA.

What have you accomplished during your time on SGA?

Through SGA I’m a part of the liberal studies committee. I helped plan the prayer service for Martin Luther King Jr. Day, participated in GIVE Day, helped with the election process for freshman representatives and was voted Representative of the Month for September.

Is there anything else you’d like the student body to know about you?

Being a part of SGA has been an amazing opportunity for me and I put a lot of passion into it. I believe that my passion coupled with the position of VP of Public Relations will magnify the volume of the student body’s voice. To follow my campaign, find my Twitter: @kbunceforVPofPR.
