ITS to launch new portal

Gannon’s ITS department is holding open workshops to introduce students, faculty and staff to the new Gannon portal website, which is estimated to launch in the second week of February.

All are welcome to preview the new portal, with future workshops to be held 3 p.m. Thursday and 11 a.m. Tuesday.

Each preview will be held in Room 104 of the Zurn Science Center.

Orientation advisers wanted

Any student interested in taking part in formally welcoming Gannon’s next class of students to campus should apply for a spot on the Summer Orientation Adviser staff.

Completed applications are to be turned into the New Student Services office by Friday, and can be found at the front desk in the Waldron Campus Center.

SGA Open Forum

The Student Government Association is holding an open forum at 8 p.m. Thursday in Waldron Campus Center’s Yehl Ballroom.

All students are welcome to attend and present any issues, questions or suggestions to the assembly.

Registration for Lil’ Sibs

Students interested in inviting their younger siblings to participate in the Activities Prorgramming Board’s Little Sibs weekend must complete a registration form by Wednesday, Feb. 1. Information can be picked up in the APB office in the Waldron Campus Center and any questions can be sent to [email protected]

English Dept. Poetry Contest

Students combing their creative genes are asked to submit up to two poems for the 2012  Poetry Contest, sponsored by the Gannon English department. Interested writers should turn in their submitted work by 3 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15, in Room 3227 in the Palumbo Academic Center.

Contest winners will be announced at the Awards Night Celebration at 7:30 p.m. April 18, in the Yehl Ballroom. First prize for undergraduate poetry is $100.
