Gannon’s 3rd annual Multicultural Dance Night

Erie Pa., — On Friday, March 22, Gannon is bringing back the Multicultural Dance Night for the 3rd year. The event will be held at the Erie Playhouse beginning at 7 PM. 

 

This year, the event will be focused on Korean Pop dance performed by students of Yanlai Dance Academy of Pittsburgh. The studio will also showcase Chinese dancers performing traditional dances through their flowing connections of body, music, and silk ribbons.

Dancers of the Erie community will share other country’s artistic heritage on stage, offering a wide range of cultural performances. Some examples of such include cultural traditions from China, Bhutan, Greece, Ireland, Ukraine, and West Africa. Hoop and Liturgical dance will also be performed at the event.  

  

This night of dancing is both educational and a chance to discover the diversity that creates the Erie community. Audiences will connect through the body’s storytelling to learn of different cultures through the unity of art. 

  

Tickets for Gannon students with ID will cost $5, while the general public will pay $15. Come and support Erie’s diverse heritage and the local arts in this culturally immersive event.
