Prepare to embark on an emotional journey through the intricate maze of grief, healing, and hope in David Lindsay-Abaire’s poignant masterpiece, “Rabbit Hole.”

Starting this Thursday night, “Rabbit Hole” will hit Gannon’s Schuster Theater, promising an emotional adventure. The profound contemporary play will take audiences on a rollercoaster of emotions as it delves into the complexities of loss, forgiveness, and the human spirit’s remarkable capacity to endure.

Set in the serene suburbs of New York, “Rabbit Hole” introduces us to the Corbett family, whose perfect life is about to be shattered when tragedy strikes. Becca and Howie, the grieving parents, find themselves navigating the bewildering terrain of sorrow, each grappling with their pain in their own unique way. Lindsay-Abaire’s exquisite storytelling pulls no punches as it explores the raw and fragile emotions that accompany loss, pushing characters to their limits.

Amidst the tears and heartache, “Rabbit Hole” offers glimpses of humor and tenderness that emerge unexpectedly, demonstrating the resilience of the human spirit. Lindsay-Abaire’s brilliant writing balances the heaviness of grief with moments of levity, creating a story that is as genuine as it is heart-wrenching.

As the Corbett family’s journey unfolds, we witness their interactions with friends and family, all attempting to provide support and understanding in their own flawed and heartfelt ways. The play is a study of complex relationships, reminding us that even in the darkest moments, connection and empathy can heal.

Experience the touching emotions of the 2017 Pulitzer Prize-winning play as it is brought to life by Molly Cooke and the talented cast and crew of the Schuster Theater. Don’t miss the chance to be moved, inspired, and profoundly touched by “Rabbit Hole.”
