Gannon University is welcoming a new member to the College of Engineering and Business.
The college introduced Willard Broucek, Ph.D., as a visiting director for the Dahlkemper School of Business Monday.
He will be serving in this position through July 31.
Before arriving for his temporary stay at Gannon, Broucek previously worked at Northern State University for over 25 years.
After teaching for nearly two decades as an associate professor, Broucek served as dean of the School of Business for eight years, overseeing 50 full- and part-time faculty members.
As an evaluator for the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP), he helped Northern State University become an ACBSP accredited university.
As a visiting director for the Dahlkemper School of Business, Broucek will serve under Karinna Vernaza, Ph.D., interim dean of the College of Engineering and Business.
Vernaza will continue to manage day-to-day operations while Broucek will serve as an interim consultant, analyzing the Dahlkemper School of Business’ organizational structure, among other things, and reporting back to Vernaza with recommendations that will help promote growth within the college.
Vernaza was named interim Dean of the College of Engineering and Business January 2, 2017.
Vernaza took over the position after William L. (W.L.) Scheller, Ph.D., stepped down.
