The Most Rev. John Mark Gannon, founder of Gannon College, speaks at the Beyer Hall groundbreaking on Nov. 22, 1960. Students looked on from above in Russell Hall, which housed classrooms and labs for engineering and science courses, and would later be demolished in 1998 to be replaced with the Waldron Campus Center. Also at the groundbreaking ceremony was Dean of Science and Engineering Gerald Kraus (third from left), Dean of Business Administration Dr. John Waldron (fourth from left), President the Rev.
