Student artists wanted for Wellness Fair Contest

Student artists wanted for Wellness Fair Contest

Gannon University student artists are being encouraged to enter their work in the inaugural pop-up gallery at the 2016 Wellness Fair.
The Wellness Fair is being held Feb. 2 and during the “Happy Hour” wave, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., the submitted student artwork will be on display. The artists are encouraged to stand by their submissions for recognition at that time.
In order to qualify for the competition, the art piece must interpret the “GOOD FOR U” logo that is being promoted by the university.
The piece must also interpret what wellness means to the artist.
The voting will be solicited from the event guests. The top three winners will receive $100, $50 and $25 in cash.
In addition, the first-prize winner will have his or her piece permanently displayed in an installment in the Wellness Area in the Recreation and Wellness Center.
Submissions are due to the Recreation and Wellness Center by Monday. When submissions are turned in, a name, description of interpretation of the logo, year of graduation, major and hometown are required on a separate sheet of paper.
For more information about the contest or the pop-up gallery, contact Ashley Faulkner at [email protected].
