The Gannon women’s soccer team continues to gather postseason honors from its record-setting season.
Mani Brueckner was named the Conference Commissioner’s Association NCAA Division II Atlantic Region Player of the Year for the third time Monday.
Coach Colin Petersen was tabbed the Atlantic Region Coach of the Year by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.
Brueckner, who was also named the PSAC Player of the Year on Nov. 4, set Gannon’s single-season record for points (44) and goals (18) this year.
Brueckner is joined Sammy Valloud and Olivia Augustyniak with first-team honors.
Valloud ranks seventh all-time at Gannon with 21 goals, while Augustyniak earned her first all-region selection after being named the PSAC Defensive Player of the Year.
Petersen, the PSAC Coach of the Year, guided the Knights to a program-best 18-3-0 record, while spending four weeks at No. 1 in the NSCAA Top 25 Poll.
Gannon hosted the first two rounds of the NCAA Division II Tournament, falling to rival Edinboro, 2-1 in overtime, in the second round.
