Not only did Gannon’s 43-28 win over Seton Hill keep the Knights one-game out of first-place in the PSAC West, it also caught the eye of the NCAA Division II Super Region One ranking committee, tabbing the Knights at No. 8 in the initial rankings released Monday.
It is the first time in program history Gannon is ranked in the poll.
Seven at-large teams from each region are selected to compete in the NCAA playoffs.
