Students praise late-night hangout

In light of the important voting that took place this week, Gannon University has also decided to give the people what they want.

Well, at least in terms of the building on Fourth and Sassafras streets.

So it’s a bad analogy, but since this is being written before a winner of the presidency has been declared, it’s the best we can do.

We still don’t know if it’s Democrats or Republicans partying in the streets.

With The Knight Club, however, we’re confident that Gannon students are the ones celebrating on campus.

Students have been asking for a hangout – a groovy place to go and eat late at night, to be more specific – since long before any of us had stepped foot on campus.

This year, we finally got it. And so far we love it.

Some of us haven’t gotten the chance to check it out yet, but those of us who have are encouraging everyone else to go.

Not only is the atmosphere exactly what Gannon students need, but the food is unlike anything else on campus.

That’s enough to make all of us want to head on over. But beyond that, the prices are reasonable and, from what we’ve seen, it’s not too crowded.

It’s like a bar without the alcohol, crowds and generally annoying people.

But wait – there’s still more.

This is the first time students have been provided with a stable place they can go late at night on weekends.

The Knight Club is open just as late as the bars, which makes this space on campus the first of its kind – it’s not just a one-time event.

Now Gannon has a building that is meant specifically to keep students well-entertained, fed and generally happy.

And from what we’ve seen so far, that’s exactly what The Knight Club is doing.

It’s about time.
