The Activities Programming board is bringing comedian Kyle Cease to Gannon University. He will perform at 7 p.m. on Friday in Zurn Science Center Room 104.
Cease, who had to get over anxiety problems to make it on stage, includes inspirational talks on anxiety as part of his routine.
Cease has performed on “Last Comic Standing” and had his own Comedy Central special in 2006. He is also known for playing Boggie Lowenstein in “10 Things I hate About You” and The Slow Clapper in “Not Another Teen Movie.”
Theresa Lohn, a senior physician assistant major and after-hours chair for APB, said it was very exciting to get Cease, and she hopes students turn out to see him.
She said he’s a really good speaker, because he combines humor with information about dealing with stress. Because he includes this element in his stand-up, the Counseling Center will be at the event, and APB is giving out stress balls.
Lohn would also like to thank everyone who came out to watch the students compete in the Gannon Last Comic Standing on March 22.
