Saint Patty’s celebration on State Street

A collection of photos taken at Erie’s annual Saint Patty’s Day Parade.

As the crowd begins to grow, adults take advantage of the local bars. In the US, the most beers consumed in a day is on St. Patty’s Day (Kiley Williams)

Some attendees revel in the holiday, dressing in up over the top costumes such as this proudly wore inflatable leprechaun outfit. Even her dog is festive with a tiny green top hat on its head (Kiley Williams)

 

The parade starts with two figures walking down State Street to pay homage to the holiday’s Irish roots. A man dressed as Saint Patrick greets the viewers. The other man in a kilt, plays a sweet Irish tune on his bagpipes (Kiley Williams)
