We asked around the Gannon community about sleep – and whether or not we are getting enough rest. Here is how a sample of Gannon responded.

“I definitely don’t get enough sleep, typical 2-4 hours a night and 6 on a good night. I think it is because of the stress and worry from school, trying to finish assignments on time, and balancing having a life on top of working.”

“Lately I haven’t been getting enough sleep because I like to distract myself on TikTok before I go to bed. I deleted that, so now I resorted to YouTube shorts. I enjoy the time before I go to bed because it gives me time for myself and to relax.”

“I feel like I do not get enough sleep at night overall. I spend most of my day looking at a screen such as my computer or my phone, and I think it disrupts my sleep. Also, I am consistently under stress at varying levels because of my schoolwork, so I find it hard to be able to relax to sleep. Finally, because I spend so much time working and learning throughout the day, it is hard for me to find time to burn off the extra energy I have at the end of the day. Due to all these reasons, I think that I do not get enough sleep.”
