Poetry contest hosted by Gannon English department

Erie, Pa, February 7, 2023—All undergraduate and graduate students are invited to submit a maximum of two poems for the 2023 Poetry Contest.

This contest is open to all Gannon students. Students can submit two poems in one email to [email protected] by February 13, 2023.

Poems must be submitted in separate documents, in one email. On top of each document, be sure to include your name, phone number, major(s)/minor(s) and your class standing.

Poems must be submitted as a PDF or DOCX.

The first-place winner of the contest will receive $100, second place will receive $75, and third place will receive $50.

The winners of the contest will be recognized at the 46th Annual English Awards Night, held in Yehl Ballroom on Friday, April 20, 2023.

The first-place winning poem will be honored in the Totem literary magazine.
