The trip to Scotland is an opportunity for students to experience the Scotland Fringe Festival.

Saturday beginning at 8 p.m., the Schuster Theatre presents an event filled with pure entertainment of something close to improvisation.

At the event, a team of actors will be given a short comedy to perform with no rehearsal. The point of participating in theatre is experiencing the rush, but this is bound to require a lot of adrenaline from the actors.

The cast list for the event showcases the talent of Gannon students as well as those acting in the Erie theatre community.

“Plays in a Box” is hosted by Jasse Camacho Vera. Actors for the evening includes Besty Butoryak, Karalyn Headley, JJ Hodges, Alycia Olivar, Bob Peters and Devon Yates.

Angela Howell, technical director and assistant professor of theatre, shared that the student actors in the show are from the improvisation class here at Gannon.

“Plays in a Box challenges actors to use their improvisation skills to perform 10 minute plays, in front of an audience, with no rehearsal,” Howell said.

Tickets are $5 for Gannon students and $10 for the general public. Tickets can be purchased at www.schustertheater.com or at the door.

As the poster reads, “prepare to laugh your face off.”
