Career fair connects students with employers

I-Hack, Gannon’s newest facility, hosted this year’s career fair, which welcomed over sixty companies and employers.

This is an annual event that allows students to connect with professionals from several careers, allowing for the opportunity to gain a foundational understanding of what the hiring process and job market look like post-graduation.

Over 586 students and sixty-eight employers participated in the career fair this year.

The building had a line of students out the door.

Companies and employers were excited to make connections with students starting in the workforce.

Representatives from Wabtec Corporation, Marquette Savings Bank, Logistics Plus, GECAC, Erie Insurance and Allegheny Health Network were present. Representatives from the U.S. Military and the Marine Corps were also there.

Opportunities to take professional headshots were also available, sponsored by the Student Government Association.

One connection between a student and company representee can turn into longer conversations, interviews and a hiring process that ends with an employed student at a company that has a hard-working new team member.
