Next week, students will be leaving campus to take part in Fall Break.
Even though this break only lasts of five days, it gives an opportunity for students to catch up on sleep, binge TV and finish homework.
Breaks are often a time for students to catch up on the things that they need in their life, or simply to relax and enjoy the fall season.
Some of our staff plans to remain on campus, while a few plan to go home or travel.
Madeline Bruce, copy editor, plans to catch up on homework assignments.
Clare Davis, photo coordinator, plans to travel to Seattle.
Ben Haylett, Arts and Leisure editor, plans to take a road trip with his dad.
Olivia Hahner, editor-in-chief, plans to stay in Erie to catch up on sleep and upcoming assignments.
While most locations will be closed on campus, the cafeteria and Doc’s Landing plan to remain open.
Visit either location to check out their hours of operation during the break.
The Recreation and Wellness Center will be open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday – Friday, noon to 6 p.m. Saturday and noon – 9 p.m. Sunday.
Regular hours will resume Oct. 14.
For those staying on campus, going to The Recreation and Wellness Center during break is a great time for those who fear going when large crowds are present.
This is the best time of the year, which will eventually lead into Thanksgiving and winter break.
Again, even though it’s the first break, it is one that students look forward to after a crazy first two months at school.
