Throughout their careers, Kristen Merlin and Owen Danoff have won the hearts of music lovers. If you’re lucky, maybe they’ll win yours, too.
Merlin and Danoff will be performing at the Knight Club at 9 p.m. Saturday on Gannon University’s campus.
Both Danoff and Merlin spent time on NBC’s Emmy Award -winning series, “The Voice.”
Since then, both of these individuals have been performing at a variety of venues making multiple public appearances.
They even make sure to take time out of their busy schedules to record new music.
Growing up, Merlin taught herself guitar and started to write her own music.
As the years went by, Merlin earned her bachelor’s degree in music and sound recording from the University of New Haven in Connecticut.
She performed all over Massachusetts with her own band, as well as another one of Boston’s leading cover bands, Six Foot Sunday.
A few states away, Danoff was busy starting his own career.
After graduating from Berklee College of Music, Danoff released his first full-length album, “Twelve Stories.”
Both Merlin and Danoff’s talents soon landed them spots on
“The Voice.”
Merlin placed fourth during the sixth season, while Danoff placed 11th during the 10th season.
Merlin soon became a powerhouse female staple, while Danoff became iconic for being the first contestant to play the bass.
Today, Merlin and Danoff tour and share their music with fans all across the United States.
