The time has come yet again for advising day. As you read this, you might be waiting for your meeting with your adviser or you might have met with your adviser and are enjoying the free day from classes. Well, as long as you don’t have a class after 4:30 p.m.
It feels like the first advising day of the year, back in the fall, wasn’t that long ago and now we are more than halfway through the classes we planned last semester.
This is a testament to the saying heard around campus at any point in the year — time goes fast. The cliché states, “time flies when you’re having fun,” and while college is fun, it is also work and we think that makes time go fast as well.
We become so busy with class and other endeavors that each day, week and month goes quickly.
In a week, we will be on Easter break and then it’ll be April, which signifies that there’s one month of classes left.
We hope this doesn’t dampen your spirits, but rather, opens your eyes to the fact that the year goes quickly, and we want you to make the most of the rest of the semester.
That can take many forms. First and foremost — make the most of it in the classroom and work diligently in your studies.
Second, enjoy spending time with your friends on campus.
The weather is anticipated to get better as we head into April, which is good news for Erie as it thrives in the warm weather.
There are a lot of things to do close to campus such as going down to the Bayfront for food, relaxing by the tower or heading out to Presque Isle for a day at the beach.
So make sure you leave some space for those things in your schedule. We wish you success in your advising day and we will see you on April 11 for Issue 22 of The Knight.
