Alex Gaskarth and company released a trailer for “Straight to DVD II: Past, Present and Future Hearts” on Aug. 31 creating suspense and excitement for All Time Low fans everywhere.
The album was released just 10 days later Sept. 9.
Unlike albums in the past this, being a soundtrack, is an all-live album.
I know what you’re thinking: “Ew, I don’t want to hear live, I want new songs.”
I thought the same thing.
We are in for a treat, however.
This album shows All Time Low’s true charismatic personalities with the crowd while performing an amazing show.
The true potential of Gaskarth’s voice isn’t really heard until you give this album a listen.
Other than Gaskarth’s voice that could bring fans to bow down to the band, “Straight to DVD II” also features some great cameo appearances from fellow stars.
Josh Franceschi of You Me at Six accompanies vocals on track 12, “Outlines.” Cassadee Pope can also be heard with Juliet Simms’ appearance on the famous song “Remembering Sunday.”
That’s not all, folks. The new album also features two new catchy tunes from All Time Low.
After 19 live songs from the band, “Take Cover” and “Caroline” can be found at the end of the album to wrap you up in nostalgic happiness once again.
Overall, there’s really no downside to this album.
All Time Low gives all their songs from their musical career a completely new and revamped sound, making you fall in love with them all over again.
