The Gannon Knight is a student-produced newspaper. But, the students who produce the paper do not have to be strictly within the English and communication majors.
Every week, students have the opportunity to submit a letter to the editor or a guest column. The column can be about anything really – as long as it is appropriate.
As for the letter to the editor, if there is something you –as a member of the student body – feels should receive media attention please let us know. Voice your concerns, tell us what we are missing – we are pretty understanding people.
Not everything has to be negative, however. If you love the paper and what we are doing with it, write a letter to the editor and share your thoughts.
Feedback and participation are what keep things alive and we would love to remain one of the main news sources to the Gannon community.
Your guest column can be about an experience you think should be shared or advice about something you encountered – literally anything.
All stories published in the paper get published online. It is a great bonus for your portfolios and it’s a little nugget that will be a part of The Gannon Knight’s legacy forever.
There needs to be more dialogue with our readers and what better way to get this dialogue than to have our readers start the conversation?
All you have to do is email the editor-in-chief your column or letter to the editor before 5 p.m. Sunday and it will be featured in the paper.
Aren’t you tired of just hearing our opinions? Your voice is worth being heard –let us help you raise it.
