First-year students were asked what went well not so well in their first week of college
Welcome week has come to an end and the class of 2028 has begun to fill the halls and classrooms with excitement, anticipation, but also nervousness and anxiety as the next stages of their lives begin.
With convocation and Welcome Week there was a lot going on. The students were also able to participate in the Ig-Knight fair, an annual fair that allows clubs and organizations to display what they love on campus in hopes of catching the eye of new members.
In the first short week, students filled every academic building, scrambling to find classes (and to get the best seats,) meet their professors, purchase textbooks that they might only use once, and hopefully make new friends.
Students from all different majors highlighted what went well in their first week as college students.

With every success there is some kind of hardship, right? Something that the main character in every story must overcome, the beast that needs slaying or the villain who needs to be caught, or in this case, where to find CBI.
Finding the places…learning time management…being away from home…getting a real schedule…the dining hall food…getting to know campus…biology and chemistry classes…lack of information…hard to adjust to a new environment…getting adjusted…keeping up with the schedule…adjusting to the homework schedule…the amount of content. The list goes on and on.
Now, two weeks later the new class has been integrated and have adjusted. Here’s to the first week of freshman year!
