Gannon Knight wins first place in ASPA awards
The Gannon Knight has received a first-place award in the 2019 American Scholastic Press Association’s (ASPA) Scholastic Newspaper Awards for a college/university with enrollment over 2,500.
The paper was notified of the award Tuesday. This is the 11th straight year that The Knight has captured a first-place award in the annual college newspaper contest.
The Knight is one of 13 first-place winners in the competition.
Global Coffee Hour and Teas to occur Friday
The Office of Global Support and Student engagement would like to invite students, faculty and staff to attend its Global Coffee Hour event between 3 and 4:30 p.m. Friday.
The event will be held in the Beyer Hall Lobby, located on the second floor of the Waldron Campus Center.
A variety of food, coffees and teas will be avaiable for those who attend this event.
Nash Library extends hours for this week and next week
The Nash Library will extend hours for Wednesday and Thursday from 7:30 a.m. until 1 a.m.
The library will be open from 7:30 a.m. until midnight Friday and from 8 a.m. until midnight Saturday.
Beginning Sunday, the library will be open from 8 a.m. until 2 a.m.
For the beginning of finals week, from Monday through Wednesday, the library will be open for students from 7:30 a.m. until 2 a.m.
Hours for Thursday and Friday of finals week are shortened. The library will open at 7:30 a.m. both days but will close at 8 p.m. Thursday and 4:30 p.m. Friday.
The library will not be open Saturday, May 11.
If you need a space to go to for studying that is after the library is closed, the First Presbyterian Church of the Covenant, located at 250 W. Seventh St., will have overnight study spaces available from 9 p.m. until 9 a.m.
